I sighed contently, feeling the bass boom through my body, it was nice to be out after such a stressful week.
Tonight I was flying solo; my usual partner in crime got “tied up” with the boyfriend, although I could swear that was literal. Ha.
I pushed through the mess of sweaty bodies, I wasn’t ready for the dance floor yet, I needed a little… encouragement.
And that’s how I ended up at the bar, sitting alone. Well, maybe I wasn’t at the top of my game, work was way too long. I waved the bartender over and got a refill of my drink; he offered a free shot, so naturally I took it.
