I roused awake to the sound of shuffling. Yawning, I stretched, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. I scratched the back of my head, pushing my brown curls out of my face, then looked in the direction of the noise and there she was, the most gorgeous woman I have ever laid eyes on, rummaging through the drawers. I suppose that’s what woke me up.
“Love, you seem to be in quite a hurry,” my voice came out in a low, groggy rumble. She jumped around to face me, inhaling sharply. I couldn’t help but smile at her, even though her glare was vicious.
